Beyond the wide world's end
Set in 1810. To keep peace between his father and stepmother, Timothy decided to run away from home to the Foyleside farm, a hundred miles away, where his dead mother had been born. Armed with a map he made from her descriptions of the farm, he set out on his long journey across Ireland in search of his mother's kin.
