Calling me home

In Kentucky 1939 16-year-old Isabelle becomes attracted to Robert, the son of her family's black housekeeper. They cross dangerous boundaries and fall in love. Many years later, 89-year-old Isabelle travels from her home in Texas to Ohio for a funeral. Along the way Isabelle reveals to her friend Dorrie the truth of her painful past: a tale of forbidden love.
