In the summer of 1953, an 11-year-old boy Owen is playing a baseball game with his friend. Owen hits a foul ball that kills his friend's mother. Owen doesn't believe in accidents; he believes he is God's instrument. What happens to him after that 1953 foul ball is extraordinary and terrifying.
