Pre-reading materials for entrance exams to higher education

A customer applying in the joint application process must send an acquisition request form regarding accessible pre-reading materials to Celia no later than on the last day of the joint application process: 27 March 2024. Acquisition request forms that arrive late will not be processed.

Accessible pre-reading materials cannot be borrowed until after the university has published the pre-reading materials.

Celia does not produce pre-reading materials for entrance examinations if they are available in an accessible format from the higher education institution on the day of publication. In this case, the university in question is responsible for the accessibility of the pre-reading material.

If you are applying to an institution of higher education in the joint application system, follow these steps

Go to the acquisition request.

Books as pre-reading materials for entrance exams

  • The entrance examination books are primarily produced as DaisyTrio books read by a synthetic voice in Finnish, Swedish or English, according to the original language. Books in other languages can in some cases be produced, but only as accessible e-books without sound. In some cases, entrance examination books can be produced as e-books.
  • A book is produced if it is not available in an accessible format elsewhere, for example as a publisher’s e-book that is accessible using a listening or reading aid.
  • Celia does not produce upper secondary school textbooks as pre-reading materials for entrance examinations; many publishers’ digital textbooks can be listened to nowadays.
  • Celia does not make coursebooks into audiobooks read by a human voice.
